Bird flu scare at Auckland Airport
There has been an avian flu scare at Auckland International Airport.

This morning 223 passengers on board an aircraft from Korea were quarantined by St John Ambulance staff.

Spokesman Norman Upjohn says there were symptoms which indicated Avian Flu and personnel wearing protective gear boarded the plane. He says a patient has been transported to hospital in a stable condition with suspected gastroenteritis.

False Alarm by the sound of it.

I sure hope it's a false alarm. We don't need a bird flu outbreak. I guess I shouldn't be handling those baby chicks at school and eating all this chicken.
