Hello all! I was recently accepted as a teacher to the Yale Foreign Language school, and was wondering if anyone had any good/bad stories about it. Post away, it will be my first time teaching in Korea so I would like it to be an enjoyable one.
Thanks for all your help! |

I know a couple of people that work at Yale. I've heard some good things...can't say I've heard any bad (or I've blocked them out). Looks like one of the better schools to go for in Daegu.
Maybe I'll feel generous and find out more for you. |

I think it may have been a better idea to check up on the school here before accepting the position... |

I haven't accepted the position yet...They offered one to me, with a sample contract and the emails of some teachers. While I'm emailing them I thought I'd post on here while reading over the contract thanks again for your input! |

I've known a number of teachers who've worked there. Over-all their feedback's been very positive. The biggest problem I think is rookie teachers there having to work Saturdays. The teaching programme sounds very effective. I have one middle school student who goes there and her and her English level is unusually good - I know she didn't learn most of what she knows from middle school, and must have learnt it somewhere else. |
