I for one think that the Korean government should start implementing these. It would keep alot of the crazies out of Korea. It would also cut down on the threads where people are looking for anti-depressants.

No, they can't be kicked out (well maybe if they want to leave Korea), but definitely for English teachers. There are definitely a portion of mentally ill ones. Cool

On the kids or foreign teachers? I say both. LOL. Like America many years ago, Korea mass mainstreams everyone rather than putting teachers and students of different disciplines and abilities into their niches. Testing could help organize both teachers and students into classes designed to meet their special specific needs.

Now a mental evaluation to see if you are fit to do the job? That's wouldn't fly, only the army can do that.

How do you define "mentally ill" I might ask? Are talking about people that cause trouble (get drunk, in fights etc)?

The term mentally ill is pretty vague.
