Lindsay Lohan is a free woman after spending just 84 minutes in jail on drink driving charges. The star had been sentenced to four days in jail, but she was given 10 days of community service in lieu of two days behind bars. Lindsay was also given credit for one day served when she was arrested in July, leaving only 24 hours behind bars. But overcrowding in Lynwood jail (where Paris Hilton served her sentence) meant Li-Lo checked in, was put in a cell, and released 84 minutes later. "Ms Lohan was cooperative," a spokesperson said. �She was fingerprinted, photographed, and put in a holding cell, but was let go due to our early release policy.� |
What is it with "justice" that is being used in such a lame manner? Now celebrities can go into jail for offences that other people would have been put away for a couple of years, and it actually "enhances" their reputation. Sick Sick society. What created it?
I'd second calls for a celebrity death penalty. That'll get the ratings up. Surely that's not beyond the realms of possibility. Celebrities will do anything, surely? |
