Not into Battles, but one of them, Tyondai, is the son of Anthony Braxton, MacArthur Genius Award winner & all-around improvising/performing/composing/teaching TITAN.

Lemon Jelly - His Majesty King Raam (these guys are what happens if you mix LSD, liking Pink Floyd and having access to a modern, world class recording studio)

Lemon Jelly - Soft (an acidized cover of a famous song)

Type O Negative - Die with me (stylish, sophisticated metal)

Richard X/Kelis - Finest dreams (great 21st century pop)

LaToya London - Someone Saved My Life Tonight (Elton John cover)

Jung Sung-ha - Living on a prayer (brilliant lil dude)

They're an all-star group, really, seeing as guitarist Ian Williams is himself a mathrock genius as evidenced by his work in his old band, Don Caballero. Drummer John Stanier, of course, was in the seminal metal band Helmet.

Dave Konopka rounds out the foursome as the least dazzling all-star in the constellation; he played guitar in the lesser-known outfit Lynx.
