|
|
Hey everyone, I was just offered a contract in the Yeonsan Dong area of Busan that I think looks pretty good.
I was wondering if I could get some information on this area itself. What's good about it, what's not so good? Does it have any nightlife, or is it near good nightlife? Are there a good amount of foreigners in this area? Anything you could tell me would be great.
Thanks |

Danger, DANGER, I would NEVER go there, day or night. Stay away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its okay, just a bunch of hoffs and stuff like that. actually a bunch of places stay open all night. You are near Somyon, a quick cab ride away. I used to date a girl from around there, lots of dvd rooms |

I live near Yeonsan-dong. It's a pretty average area. A smattering of apartment complexes, the usual mom and pop stores. There is a nightclub, room salon street.
It is pretty central and the subway (line 3) will take you east/west. It's close to the transfer to the north south line Yeonsan subway station IS the transfer station. |

I lived in right in the heart of Yeonsan-dong for about five weeks when I first moved to Korea. I was crashing with a friend. I would have to say that in terms of ease of getting around the city, Yeonsandong is pretty great. It's a cheap cab ride to Seomyeon, PNU, Kyungsung Dae, Gwanganli and even Haeundae. And not only that, it's a perfect location on the subway map, since it's the transfer station for line three. Line three is a godsend in terms of getting around the city on the subway.
That said, otherwise it's a pretty boring area. There are a lot of bars and hof's in the area, as well as DVD room as another poster said. I would take it just based on location, but that's just me, as I don't spend a lot of time at home. |

I'd agree with everything all the other posters have said. I've never lived in Yeon-san dong, but pass through on the way to work everyday, and no matter how boring the area itself might be it really is just a few stops from anywhere you'll want to go. |
