I have a friend planning on visiting me in Korea from Hong Kong during my vacation period at the end of dec. I'm located in Daejeon...now my question is would i be easier for her to fly into Incheon or Daegu? I'm looking mainly at the ease of traveling into Daejeon from each city. There are flights available for both airports, but I was just wondering what the fastest and easiest pathway from both airports would be for her to get to daejeon.

She has speaks no korean and it would be her first time here. Also I wouldn't be able to meet her at each airport so I'd only be able to pick her up from Daejeon station in the end. So what would be the route from each airport?

The express bus takes 3 hours from Incheon airport. I think it's most convenient.

There are no direct flights that I know of to Daegu from HK and it wouldn't save any time if you could. Go to Incheon and get an express bus, as the poster above suggested.

thanks for the advice guys...she's flying in to incheon...so it looks like the bus is the best route anyways...

How long is your friend coming over for?

She/he may be able to get a chartered flight with www.hongkongairlines.com that flies to Cheongju!!! It's an airport some 40 minutes away from Daejeon.

I am flying to HK at the end of Jan and I keep looking to see if they are doing any scheduled flights like they say they would start *later on in the year*... well the year's almost ending and I still haven't found any info.....
