Is there a library or two that I could go to and check out English books about teaching, theory, etc? How much is the fee?
Thanks!

I've been asking the same question and I heard that there is a national library in Seocho that has a lot of English books. I was told it's somewhere near the bus terminal. Sorry that's all I know, when I find it I will send directions.

I don't know of any English libraries. Instead, a good idea might be to check out some used English bookstores in Itaewon. They have many ESL books on various topics that teachers have traded away or sold over the years. There is one English bookstore by Naksapyeong station (by the taco restaurant). There used to be a store called What The Book in Itaewon, but I don't know if it is there anymore.

For my thesis, Hankuk Uni. of Foreign Studies (HUFS) was a dream come true. Lots of journals (SLA, TESOL Quarterly, Language Learning, etc.) as well as photocopiers and a copy desk that will print up multiple pages while you wait.

However, getting in can be tricky, with the turnstiles and front guards. I had my school print up a document saying I was doing research, and they let me in. Make sure you get many copies, as they keep the one each time you go.

With the sponsorship of a professor, you may be able to get borrowing privledges from a national university library.
