Are there any interesting movies out there to see? What English movies are out there these days from drama to action etc.... Or, if you know what's good to simply buy off the street and then take to a DVD Bang to watch with someone....
Thanks... |

You've never been to a dvd bang, have you?
buy one on the street and take it there? they do have a wide selection there. It's not like anyone actually goes there to watch movies.... |

I just watched 'the Man From Earth,' and that was not too bad. Probably only available for download...it's a pretty low budget affair, and unlikely to have much marketability here (or anywhere).
Extremely low budget actually, but it had no special effects whatsoever so that doesn't really matter. It was poorly acted, and insisted on having a terrible soundtrack throughout, it was an interesting premise and the writing was passable and at times even quite good.
I just got "Eastern Promises," the new Cronenberg one that got a lot of press because Viggo gets his junk out in the brutal fight scene at the end. That's actually not why I downloaded it, really...I just like Cronenberg, and gangster movies. I'll let you know how it is. |

I did. I went to this one in Itaewon. They hardly had a selection, and I ended up watching one of the worst movies I've ever seen, because they didn't have a decent selection. Where is there another DVD Bang not so far from the Itaewon area, because the one in Itaewon has nice rooms and looks nice, but it is overpriced, and has a terrible selection.. |

I saw Across the Universe the other day, it's a musical narrated by remakes of Beatles songs...quite beautiful.
if I'm lonely, single and bitter (I am), I can watch 2046 over and over again (I do).
Science of Sleep is a cheery but also slightly heartbreaking date movie (depending on how you interpret the ending). |

Where is "Across the Universe" playing in Seoul? It's not playing at any theaters where I am (Nowon, Mia). I really want to see it. |

Yeah! Where's it playing, Tom Waits? I'm really looking forward to an adaptation of a Cormac McCarthy book that doesn't suck the corn from my sheet. I'm still reeling and bitter from 'All the Pretty Horses.' |

Ahh sorry I'm back home right now saw in a theater.
I would bet a lot it's around on DVD in Asia-China at least and maybe Korea. I've been waiting awhile-it started at Cannes and then opened in select cities etc etc.
it's a treat---great performance from Javier Bardem---who the hell is this guy anyway? |
