I'm a bibliophile and cheerleading of reading as a means of input for language acquisition.

It isn't the wholly grail but when done at the appropriate level it allows students to see , know (in an unconscious fashion) the music and hidden logic of a language....osmosis.

I've put up a nice directory of online reading. Many can be used whole class. I'll soon upload a lot of worksheets for many of the stories.

My next project will be a free, online, open source EFL teacher training program. Watch the videos, read the books, pass the test and you get applause......for all those who don't want a degree but to know...

Cheers for putting up a link to free teaching material -- that's mighty nice of you.

cheerleader, wholly, subconscious, and exposure, not osmosis

Also, isn't this the kind of post that gets labeled as spam?

I teach adults. Does anyone know a similar site that has reading materials suitable for them?

Ya-ta,

I'll be adding adult and chapter books to the directory shortly.

You might want to try our video books. Either through www.ddd.batcave.net (soon to be destroyed) or through EFL Classroom 2.0 See the same scrolling box of reading material. bottom right. Members get the password and can read at their leisure.

Well like I said, if helping teachers with material/resources/ideas is spam then there is something wrong??? Big difference between spam and sperm, as I mentioned before.
