You might have missed this gem amidst all the fantastic shooters and MMORPGs that have come out in the last couple of years, but if you've seen it on the torrents and simply ignored it, you may be doing yourself a disservice.

Have you read Haruki Murakami? This game is vintage Murakami. If you're not familiar with Murakami, he's a Japanese author whose works fall into that category best described as "magical realism."

In any case, Dreamfall is hardly what you'd call "exciting" by any typical gamer's definition of the word. On the other hand, like Murakami's novels, it gives you that same blissful feeling that mixing valium and vintage wine induces. It's cerebral, not visceral. And it just gets better and better as the game progresses.
