|
I'm computer illiterate to start, but when you add that I don't have English windows at work, it makes me even more dumb.
I was hit with about a million viruses on this PC, so yesterday the computer teacher completely reformatted my entire computer. I'm starting off with a fresh slate.
Now I'm not sure how she did it, but for some reason the font (size of the writing on EVERYTHING on my computer) is way bigger. Every icon, everytime I open up the internet, I feel like I'm my Grandmother who had to buy special books with large font so she could see. I hate that everything is this big. It looks ridiculous.
So if someone could possibly take me through how to make everything normal sized again, I'd appreciate it more than you know. It would need to be straight forward instructions, seeing as how this is all in Korean haha.
Thanks a million! |

Sounds like your resolution is just set too low.
Right click the background, choose the bottom option (R)
Click the tabs up top in the new window until you find one with a little slider bar with numbers underneath like 800*600 or the like.
Slide this bar all the way to the right (bigger numbers).
Hit 확인
That should do it. |

Ohhhh you are so helpful! Thank you so much haha.
I knew there had to be a simple solution for it. I was in the right area, but didn't know where to go. Thanks a million! |

Also get clamwin. It's an open source virus program. There are
no subscriptions that you have to pay for. |

AVG and nod32 are also competent anti-virus programs that are both free. |

Thanks.
I already had Norton on the computer, but apparently it didn't catch these ones when I scanned.
When I realized my work computer was completely overrun with viruses, I downloaded AVG. But everytime the main virus (trojan.cashback or something like that) came up, there was a reading error, and it wouldn't register as a problem.
The computer teacher said that wiping away everything was the only way to fix it. Makes me glad I have a macbook at home. |

Clamwin is open source which makes it better. |

Makes it better in the sense that it's a good policy, but not necessarily better at stopping viruses. It's a bit slow, and nod32 has a much more aggressive update policy. |
