Can anyone post directions to the Foreign Market from the nearest subway station, in Itaewon?

The more detail the better, as I realized my first trip to Seoul nothing is as easy to find as it sounds.

90% of the people on the busy main street of Itaewon speak English.

So simply ask to be pointed in the right direction when you get there.

Seriously, for anyone who has travelled anywhere new before, this is simple as can be.

Follow the KISS principle.

Itaewon is the one place in Korea where English speakers are in the majority.

You have three options
1) Hanam dong foreign market - Hanganjin station south side exit walk east, take the walk-over over-pass walk south look for the bowling pin. Best food selection

2) Red Door Store- go to the police station walk west, turn south, 1 long block south, on east side of street. Says "currency exchange" out side, red color small building with tinted windows - good for deodorant, spices, medicines, AW root beer, sausages ie kielbasa

3) Super market behind Worry Bank in the lower alley on the north side, good for some foods and cheese.

Option #4, and the one I think you're talking about:

The Indian/Foreign market near What The Book.

Go out of Itaewon station. I don't know the exit numbers well enough to tell you, but when you get out look for two landmarks: Hamilton Hotel and a large Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf (across the street from one another).

You want to be on the side of the street with Coffee Bean, facing so that it is on your right side and the T-intersection in front of Hamilton Hotel is behind you. Walk up the street. When you get to the next light, take a right. Walk up the hill. The foreign food mart is on the left side of that street... I can't tell you exactly how far. About 2 minutes walking up the hill. What The Book is just past it, also on the left.

(Option #4) More.

I'm pretty sure there is no traffic light at the turn. Turn at the very first street going right (it's a small T-intersection); I think there is a fire station on the other side of the small street.

The Foreign Food Store is a wood building on the corner. Maybe a bit more than 100 meters. At the top of the hill, the road turns off to the left--you've gone too far.
