Finishes tonight at 10pm with the story of the sinking of the uss indianapolis in which something like 1100 men went into the water and half of them were munched by sharks....should be good!

I'd love to watch more of the Discovery Channel but for the last week, I've been unable to access it via www.wwitv.com. Has anyone else been having the same problem?

I watched it last night. It was really good. Apparently, very few of the survivers said that they witnessed sharks attacking the men who were still alive. Rather, they only saw the sharks eating those who were already dead or who died whilst they were in the water, which was most by all accounts. Dehydration, exposure, fatigue, drinking salt water and pneumonia killed the vast majority.

I was really amazed at how some of them remained mentally strong enough to have survived. Having been in theose tropical waters for 4 days and 5 nights, without any fresh water, the temptation to drink salt water must have been unbearable. Apparently, death comes quickly and painfully once you start drinking salt water. Not a nice way to go.

They'll probably run it again before December is out if you missed it.

Yeah...watched the finale last night starting at 1 am. Had nice dreams.

What sucked most, I thought, was being snagged by the arm...drug down and fight your way out of the shark's mouth by poking it in the eye. Make it back to the raft and safety in numbers only to have your fellow survivors kick you away...and then leave the group thinking they'd for sure kill you.

Catch 22

!shoosh,

Ryst
