|
|
I'm considering a job in Seoul that does not offer housing. I've lived in Korea for a year but I've never needed to find my own housing before.
I don't need much. A small studio apartment would be fine, but I've heard a lot of stories about key money, and I don't have a huge chunk of change lying around to make the deposit, although I'd easily be able to make monthly rent.
Can anybody recommend a good real estate agent or give me some suggestions?
Thx

| You should go to the area you want to live in and go to a budongsan (obviously, it will be in Hangul). There should be dozens in residential area. You'll need to speak Korean, have a translator or be ready to deal with living in or around Itaewon. Also, many landlords don't want to sign with foreigners. See if your new boss will help you out. |

| If you want to pay rent, you'll probably be limited to Itaewon. If however, you have $15,000 or so kicking around, you can get a decent place past Mokdong, towards Gimpo airport and live rent free! |
