I didn't put this in the contract sticky because it's really short and just one question, but from the following info, would you think I would be getting housing or are they taking it out of my salary that they already told me?? Never once before was it mentioned, I assumed it would be provided since most other jobs do..

Quote:

8. Housing
A single furnished apartment will be provided to the Employee. The "Employee" is expected to pay for maintenance, utilities, and telephone expenses (including the deposit) from the date the "Employee" enters the apartment to the date the "Employee" vacates.

The salary will additionally include the monthly rent fee which will be automatically deducted each month. In the event the employee chooses to decline the provided housing accommodations, employee will be provided with a 300,000won housing stipend each month.

Yep.. whatever your base pay would be, a housing allowance of 300,000 would also be added into your paycheck. It obviously is needed for the housing they get you. But you are responsible for the monthly bills you receive. Those are not included. So basically... think of the 300,000 as money you'll never see yourself.

That's not how I interpret it. It doesn't say that your rent is 300,000/month. The rent could be 600,000/month, which they "add" to your paycheck, only to deduct it to pay for the rent. Basically you're just getting your base pay and a place to live. If you don't accept the housing which they offer, then your base pay will increase by 300,000 won.
