Agreed. Fox toe a neocon line, but I don't think they're out there influencing other networks with their coverage. |

I agree with you.
Who else might be able to influence other networks though? |

I don't believe Fox and Rupert Murdoch would be that irresponsible. They would never have their own agenda.
Oh wait.
"When the Maine blew up causing the deaths of 268 men, newspaper owners such as William R. Hearst leapt to the conclusion that Spanish officials in Cuba were to blame, and they widely publicized the conspiracy. Such publications practised what was called "yellow journalism", which originated in New York. Yellow journalism fueled American anger by publishing astonishing "atrocities" committed by Spain in Cuba. Hearst, when informed by a sketch artist he'd hired that conditions in Cuba were not bad enough to warrant hostilities, allegedly replied, "You furnish the pictures and I'll furnish the war."[2] Lashed to fury by the yellow press, the American cry of the hour became, Remember the Maine, To Hell with Spain!" Peel in your other thread you pointed that Iran uses it's embassies for terror and that Iran is dangerous. |

Iran is dangerous. That doesn't lead to an "ergo" to invading. |

My answer is... so what?
Now matter what fox news sputters onto the airwaves, I don't think the other networks are folliowng. There is little popular support in the US for more military adventurism, let alone continuing operations in Iraq.
As for Iran; so long as they stay on there own side of the fence, they should be fine. Should they get involved in Iraq and complicate our mission there, they do so at their own risk. |
