 Posted: Wed Nov 28, 2007 12:37 am Post subject: Lost A.R.C card. Can I get a medical prescription. |

| Just had my wallet nicked so lost my card. Can't get any cash to go to the docs either. If I have a prescription to pick up can I still get it without an A.R.C? |

| What's the harm of trying? I think you'd better report your wallet stolen at the nearest police station, though, and get a case number from them in order to get a replacement ARC card... |

| If you have the ARC number, or go to a pharmacy you've been to before, or have your health insurance booklet, then no problem... |

If you go straight to the Immi office, it might cost you 100,000 won. You need to go to the police station and file a report so that you can possibly avoid that fine.
I mistakenly thought that I could just pass without it for the month in between the theft of my wallet and my departure. When I got to the airport, they charged me the 100,000.  |

Replacement cost for your ARC is 10,000 won and can usually be done "while you wait".
Take your passport, 10k won, fill in an application and if possible give a copy of a police report for the lost/stolen card.
Not having one when you depart WILL get you a 100k won fine. |
