Finally upgraded to a desktop computer. Going to do some video editing and don't need the laptop. I've seen this laptop *used* on Amazon for $769.99. I'll sell this one for $725. If that's too expensive, then spliff and I'll educate myself.
The laptop was bought about a few weeks before I came to Korea, has English Vista on it (the key sticker is still on the bottom of the laptop) and the recovery discs are still on the partitioned drive. It's been kept in my apartment so it doesn't have many road miles on it.
I hope that settles any questions. For the technical:
Amazon.com: dv6449us
Send PM or email me at [email protected]. This laptop is located in Seoul. I don't think I'll feel comfortable shipping it. If you want to see it, I'll be happy to show it to you. If you don't buy it, then you owe me a cup of coffee. I think that's it.

Shame this isn't a 17" model. I'd jump at it. I have the 13.3" version of that, but with a coreduo. I love it, and sometimes wish I had a bigger screen. Spent $1500 on mine though, when it was first released 1 1/2 years ago. |

Sorry about that. Posted the link that I saw under the searches listed in Amazon and I must have taken it for granted. I'm not sure what's up with the different numbers, but my computer is listed as a dv6000 on its shell. I'm assuming that the higher the number, the newer it is.
Your link is correct.
For those who wanted to see it: Circuit City: dv6449us |

Seems good specs but your asking price used is roughly what it would cost to purchase brand new...this has got me confused. |

Earlier in the day, the list price I saw on Amazon for a slightly lower model was about $1,000. The link shown for Circuit City Online has it on sale. For roughly $800, you can buy it post discount and post rebate. With tax it'd come out to a bit more.
If the price isn't fair, I'm willing to negotiate. I didn't want to sell the laptop for dirt cheap just because it's three months old. |

Just an aside, you'd get better performance from the laptop if you reduce the amount of graphics memory that the card is using. 500MB is over the top for a Geforce 6150 and Vista can sure use the extra. You can reduce it in Bios usually. |

i'm not exactly sure how the geforce go card works. i think it takes memory as needed. that said, i've tried warcraft 3 and wow and they run -- warcraft 3 runs without a hitch, but wow is better played on solo or pvp (didn't really try raiding). |
