I recently saw a television commercial for KFC's new 'Chicken Bowls'. It looks like something I might have thrown up after a night of drinking. Breaded chicken, mashed potatoes, corn and cheese? Holy gross! I thought it was reminiscent of some of the 'interesting dishes' I had while in Korea.

They have that here in Canada too.
Sorry. It's a poor decision in a global context, not just in Korea. |

I know. I'm in Canada as well. That's why I said it reminded me of weird food from Korea. |

Don't forget the GRAVY! You can choose white (country) or brown gravy. Too much going on in one bowl for me. However, my sister says she likes it without the cheese. |

That chicken bowl looks good, but except I am burned out on fried chicken and things fried due to this being the main western food in Korea and I prefer most things baked anyhow. I want baked chicken, fish, turkey, duck, and casserole type foods instead of fried foods. It's tough to find good baked restaurant food as it takes time to prepare. Pizza has to be one of my favorite foods that you can buy almost anywhere.
Yea, they're many restaurants and grocery store food producers in north America doing unusual things in mixing it it all up. Goober peanut butter and jelly was only the beginning of these concepts.
In the past 5 years, they are putting more things together in recipes and making portions larger. Some call it the gourmetization and some call it as being unhealthy. I say they are giving larger proportions of lower quality fried fatty slop.
Have a 1 gallon glass of Coca-cola with your monster burger anyone? |

is this for people who are too lazy to let their stomachs mix up the food so it needs to be done for them? next they will be selling this as a blended shake, yum!
also how can larger portions be called gourmet? have you ever eaten at a gourmet restaurant? the portions are miniscule! and thats kind of the point. |
