Hi there fellow Suncheoners! (if there are any)
I was wondering, how old are you? I'd like to see the general ages of the people around here.
What do you usually do for fun? I have heard of Juliannas and Elvis, also Yellow Monkey. Are there any other places that you go to?
What is something interesting to do in Suncheon besides just movies and drinking? Anything special to see?
How far is it to Yeosu from here?

There's a Suncheon yahoo group where you might get more info:

Always a good idea to ask "how old are you" around here, especially if you can't locate Yoseou on a map.

But then it occurs to me that in the boonies you might not have a map. Pretty much have to go to Seoul to even get one.

I don't know I'm a doddering idiot with a variety of age related mental disturbances. I've been self medicating myself with a mixture of arsenic and mercury vaporized on a mirror for my tertiary syphilis, I know it doesn't help much with the tabese distrolis .

Still you ought to be able to shamble to Yosou in an hour or two. They'll have canned tuna fish there as well. You can probably get a nice jail house tat (Bic ball point pen ink) from some of the kyobos there.

Yeah, you really ought to just join that Yahoo group, if you haven't already. There are hundreds of members there, as opposed to 2 or 3 Jeollanam-do people here. You'll get a better sense of the area that way, rather than sifting through nonsensical, wasteofspace posts from mysteriousdeltarays, who seems unsure how to spell "Yeosu."

I'm 26, and judging from others I've met, I'm younger than the average foreigner here. Drinking is the most popular pastime for foreigners in any part of the country, and Suncheon is no different. Elvis, Julianna, and Wa Bar are the most popular places. I've been to Yellow Monkey---next door to Elvis---and in my estimation it's typical of any other hof in Korea. It's a sit-down place, and I have never heard it being a popular foreigner hang-out. The Yellow Monkey in Yeosu, however, is a relatively popular foreigner bar, so maybe you're thinking of that.

There's a lot to do besides drinking. There are lots of hills and mountains to hike, and there are temples, festivals, and other tourist sites in Jeollanam-do. Local buses go to Seonanmsa and Songgwangsa temples, and number 777 goes to the Drama Set. Look around the internet for more information, or ask people on the Yahoo group for their recommendations.

It will take between 30 and 60 minutes to reach Yeosu, depending on traffic.

Gee so sorry about the spelling. You directed him to bars.
