censorship at the cinemas?

How much censorship is at the Korean cinemas? I want to go and see Saw 4 but a friend is telling me that a lot will be cut out..

It's not as bad as it used to be, but they still censor a good bit.

Lust, Caution was recently released here. The sex scene was cut from around 20 minutes to about 2 for hte korean release.

They really censor sex, but only censor violence if it's really bad. Of course, consdiering Saw4, the chances are pretty high that the super gory stuff might be cut. It's only 7,000 though, just go see it.

Saw it yesterday....dunno if anything was cut out or not. A dead dudes bits were blurred out. Thats all i noticed.

When 'The Sound of Music' came out, a Korean theater owner found it was too long to show as many times a day as he wanted. His solution: clip out all the songs. Very Happy

I remember in 1996 I rented Seven from a Korean video store. Took me a long time to figure out the end, why Brad Pitt looked in a box and then killed that guy.

Ahh.....I was only there cuz I was told to go Smile

The Mrs. said it was better than the last one. I don't really like any of those movies, so i thought was it was the same *beep* as usual.
