Anniversary time! Does anyone have a recommendation for a nice, quiet-ish place to eat in the Insadong area? The only place I'm familiar with that fits the bill is Sanchon, so I'd love to hear any other suggestions for a Tuesday night. Our price range isn't too extravagant... would like to keep it under 100,000 won including a drink or two.
Thanks. |

what about Little India? For that kind of money, and a little advance notice, I bet you could get a really, really nice, long drawn-out multi-courses serviced meal.
A thought - don't know how you feel about Indian food. |

Why Insadong? Go around the corner to that art gallery area (I can't remember what it's called but it's down the side of the palace). There are some nice restaurants round there. THere's a little French place that I'd recommend (but again, I can't remember the name, but it's easy to recognise - French menu outside, minimalist decor inside). Or there are a lot of 'very traditional, very deliciousy' Korean places too. |

google "Min's Club" It's kind of a fine dining place without the dress code. Very cheap for the food they give you, but they do charge a 10% service...charge. One of my favorite restaurants |

Thanks for the suggestions guys... I'll check them out.
As for the "Why Insadong?" question... it's pretty close to where we live, and I thought it would be nice to go for a stroll and a cup of tea in a 찻집 when we were finished. We're also past due for sending some birthday/graduation/Father's Day gifts home, and Insadong is a pretty good place to pick those things up. He's now thinking Kangnam might be nicer though... so I'll check out what you guys suggested and see what I can find down below the river, too.
Thanks again. |
