Good Steven King films are rare, this one is very good. It touches on deep seated creepiness of monsters and of humans. The monsters are ugly, vicious, poisonous, spiky and numerous. The mist hides everything. The film conveys an apocalyptic sense better than Terminator. One monster scene lets you know the Earth's world as we know it is over. The end lifts from The Illustrated man. Watch at your own peril.

Bummer. The story had no monsters that I recall. At least, none that you saw.

Bummer, another ambiguous and albeit useless post from Keane.

The Mist is a short story copntained in the book SKELETON CREW released back in the mid 80's. I have read that book cover to cover too many times to count, and The Mist was always my favorite. Really looking forward to the film.

Check out this great Stephen King interview where he blasts the American media's coverage of celebrities. He then goes on to say Jenna Bush should be waterboarded.

I heard The Mist was good, I hope it is since the very scary short story 1408 was made into a mediocre movie.
