Seems pretty harmless to me. A bit wishy washy with a provocative hook that never gets developed. I enjoyed it.
On one hand there is a woman who has been slowly dying all of her life, and who is extolling the virtues of her chosen profession with passion and love. On the other there is an ugly misanthrope with a bad haircut and a wooden spoon screaming: "If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding! How can you have have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?" |

Oh now now. She is nowhere near as bad as "love stick" boy.

Why has it come to the level that criminals and unqualified teachers are allowed to teach young innocent children? |
Innocent? Work 2 days in a US school (doesn't matter where) and you'll find out REAL quick that 'innocence' died out in the days of disco. I doubt the kids here are THAT bad, but it's time to drop the innocent act. They know what they're doing.
As far as criminal teachers go, consider this- who hires them? How do they get past immigration? What are the rates of child molestation by foreign teachers in Korea?
Unqualified teachers? Hey, I'm all for holding orientations prior to the first day of work. Better talk to the hagwon owners about that.

I think that parents should be careful when choosing their teachers and not pressure their children too much. |
On the second part, I agree. On the first part...well, I don't know what her criteria of being a good teacher is. Or how a parent would know. Remember folks; appearances can be deceiving.

To all teachers, let us not be discouraged and keep our spirits high. We have an important job to do in educating people. |
Yes, we all have to keep our heads up in the face of xenophobia, KBS news' slanted reporting, shootings (USA), sex scandals (everywhere), sex slavery (Cambodia), outright racism (USA and France), shrinking budgets (everywhere), shyster schools (NOVA in Japan), and Oprah ((South Africa). |

If criticism must be served, she sounds like a pampered upper-middle class woman who has only innocuous things to say.
Otherwise she sounds like a nice elementary school teacher. |
