Although it may seem like an oxymoron, asking a question on an internet-based form about how to access the internet - it is most serious, I assure you
I am trying to get access on my laptop, and lacking an actual land line in my apartment I was wondering how one goes about this. Im in Daegu, and I've been to the various PC Banks but they offer the internet on their own computers, wheras I just want to find a wireless signal, or a land line I can plug into
Any advice?
Thanks |

Go to PC bang, unplug the Internet cable from the computer, plug it into your laptop
est voila. |

This would be something which I would expect your school to be able to help you to arrange ... I am assuming that what you want is access at home ... Some cities do have wireless internet access ... though I don't have that option where I am ... I know much of Seoul does ... but I don't know about Daegu ... If your school can't help .. If I were you I would post a message on the Technology forum ... with a "Internet in Daegu" subject ... and ask people who live in Daegu what they use ... Someone else may also know about other options ... (I know that I don't have any choice where I am ...I get mine bundled with my cable tv. But often there is more than one alternative)

assuming you come from australia/NZ, in korea you don't need a land line to connect to the internet. should only cost around 30,000 won for an unlimited download connection |

It's not always that simple. I did this a few months ago and they guy had to come over and change the IP and DNS on my computer to match the server in the PC bang. |

But, what is the cheapest Inter-web-worldwide-net provider? Xspeedis 35 a month with no instillation. Anything better out there? What do you pay? |
