I've noticed tickets from Korea to home are incredibly expensive. My contract ends in Feburary and I was thinking about taking a little bit of a trip in my route home. I think the school coughs up about 1200 for the return flight which I can take in cash.
I was thinking about taking a boat to China. Anyone have information on that and the pricing? Then I was considering wandering China a bit before flying home from Beijing or wherever.
Actually, I'm totally open to do whatever is cheap. I don't care where I leave from to go back to Texas. I can fly into LA and greyhound home. Whatever.
Where can I find great international air specials? I can leave in March, stay until May. Whatever... just thought I should make the most of my opportunity and explore on my journey home. |

Take a look at Air Asia and Cebu Pacific. Both have great deals around Asia...mostly south east Asia, but Air Asia does fly to Xiamen...nice town. From there you can take domestic Chinese flights. China is bloody huge...if you've got a lot of time, you can take the trains around. Kunming, Chengdu-Leshan/Emei Shan(see the Big Buddha and ), Suzhou, Shanghai, Xi'an.
And there is a sticky about the 'slow boat to China'. All the info you'd need. |

Why don't you just book a flight home with a stopover in China. This would be the cheapest way. You could fly Air China or even Cathay do some travel and finish the last leg of your flight. |
