I would really like to take a cruise ship home as sort of a vacation. Does anyone know of a cruise ship in Korea (or Japan) that goes all the way to the states?

I have heard of such a cruise. It leaves Busan for the west coast and later the east coast of the US. I don't remember all the details. But I remember it being expensive. I don't think it was a standard cruise ship, but possibly a cargo ship.
Do a google search for cruises and Busan and USA and you might find what I found.

lol. You won't find a 'cruise'. You can hop on a cargo ship and pay $100 a day (and even eat your meals with the captain!), and it will be the most boring, wasteful time of your life.

Yeah, it definitely won't be anything like any "cruise" you're used to. Cruises aren't generally such a long distance, and it would take FOREVER to cross that much ocean on a boat. I guess it's possible that there is such a cruise, but I'd be really surprised.

I couldn't find a cruise from Korea to North America but I did find this one leaving from Japan.

Here's the Holland America line site:

Another option is to take a ferry to China or Russia and then travel by train via the Trans-Siberian to Europe. Note: If you are leaving from China you need to catch the Trans-Mongolian first and then transfer to the Trans-Siberian. (Check out the train travel link below for more details.) Once you arrive in Europe you can pick up a cruise ship to North America.

Here are some helpful links to help you plan your travels:

(transatlantic cruises)

Good luck planning your travels. Very Happy
