Sorry to hammer away on this old question, but do we know yet what the deal is?
I hear December 15th is the day the new laws come into effect--but what are those new laws? It's all still hearsay, right?
I'm especially curious about...
a) the nature and extent of the medical check: Korean only, or home-country too?

b) the nature of the criminal check: must it be federal?

c) the apostillizationing of all documents: are they serious?

d) the returning to the home country for consulate interviews: surely not?

e) the official notarized letters of reference: really?

Anyway, it'd be nice to know. I've already applied for the next job, but my visa won't expire til February. The boss seems to think we've got in under the wire but I don't believe him...I suspect they're going to ask me for a bunch of stuff at the last minute. If that's the case, I'd like to know ASAP so I can begin sending away applications and stuff, and if I decide to play along, buy my tickets home for the stupid consulate interview, and also schedule the damnable thing so I don't have to wait around weeks and weeks in my highly expensive home city.
