|
|
Hey -
I just got a job claiming to provide an apartment in Haeundae-gu. The beach access sounds nice, high prices sound like I won't be eating locally. Looking for some info, suggestions, etc. from someone who knows the area.....
How long will it take to get to my job? - Yongdang-dong, the south/middle of the Nam-gu peninsula.
Any good cheap gyms in Haeundae or near the school? Yoga? Korean Language classes? Best place to buy vegetables?
Thanks, David |

Haeundae is a great place to live. I don't think prices are any higher than anywhere else if you are eating Koean food. Sorry, I have no idea where Yongdang-dong is, but Nam-gu in general is about 30 minutes away on the subway. What subway stop is it close to?
Check koreabridge.com Busan forum for more info. |

Haeundae is a very nice area to live in. The food prices you seem to mention must be for those overpriced western food restaurants that line the boardwalk area.
If you eat at local restaurants (Korean food) it is not very expensive.
Hmmm do you mean Yonsan dong? That is right on the subway line and a decent area too but not as nice as Haeundae.
Best of luck out there and...welcome to Busan should you end up in this fine city....

Yes and yes. As for a "good" gym, depends what you want in a gym really. there are cheap ones and expensive ones.
Probably available.

Korean Language classes? |
Busan National University offers classes but that is not that near to Haeundae. In Haeundae itself...you could probably find Korean classes. I know the YMCA in Busanjin (maybe it is not there anymore..it has been a while since I went there...) used to offer Korean language courses as well.

KLIFF (Korean Language Institute For Foreigners) has Korean classes in Haeundae. You can check out its website here:
