OK, so people seem to be really worrying about birth control options lately. I guess there is nothing else to do in Korea when it's cold. But hey, I won't judge, just here to help. Here goes.

1. Guys, Korea has lots of condoms. Don't worry. They are not full of holes and work perfectly fine for the average guy. 7-11 has lots of variety. If you are hung like a donkey, then bring your XL sizes from home.

2. Girls, Korea also has lots of "pill" options. If you really like a particular brand, just stock up and bring it from home. Why try a new brand just because it's cheaper? How much sex do you plan on having in one year anyways?

3. Girls/Guys, you can get an abortion in Korea quite easily, however it is considered illegal. Well, Koreans can get an abortion easily, foreigners, well, I don't know.

4. Girls/Guys, sometimes you may find yourself in need of lubrication. Sometimes you need a little "slip and slide". Well, if you are a stallion in the foreplay department, this shouldn't be a problem. But most guys are pretty bad at gettin the girls engine started and want to get on with the activities as soon as possible. Hey, again, I don't judge! Lubrication is slightly difficult to find in Korea. Pharmacies have it sometimes. Ask for "Love Gel". I think it would be better if you brought some of the stuff that heats up from home though.

Have fun! Laughing

Why have you included only 2 options for contraception???????
There are those of us on this board in monogamous relationships who can't or don't want to use the pill and have no desire to use condoms.

4. IUD-available from your OBGYN. Reasonably priced as well.
5. Injections and implants from your OBGYN-not sure about cost but I'm sure it is reasonable.
6. Sterilization-much easier for the guys but women do it too. Cheaper than you can get it back home as far as I know.
7. The Morning After Pill-available from your OBGYN and possibly over the counter at sympathetic pharmacies.

As far as implants such as IUDs or whatever, I wouldn't get those done in Korea if I were you. And sterilization involves surgery which again, I wouldn't do in Korea.

You don't take it every time you have sex, silly. You take it every day, whether you get any or not. Just in case. Very Happy

So you suggest getting an abortion in Korea but not having an IUD.

You sound like you really know your stuff. Rolling Eyes

I"ve gotten both an IUD and surgery in Korea. Both proceedures went well and have been very effective.
And as someone else pointed out abortion is surgery and you recomend that in Korea but not other proceedures? Rolling Eyes

I've given birth and got an IUD afterwards in my little Daejeon clinic without any problem whatsoever.

Korea isn't that bad or everyone here would be dead and the whole race would be extinct.
