I'll be in Ilsan in the next few weeks. Who else is there or will soon be there? It would be nice to meet some people before I show up. What's up to people from Ilsan! |

What part of Ilsan are you going to? I've been here for a long while, but my friends are in Seoul, and I don't stay in town... Ilsan is a very nice city. You will like it.. It's pretty clean..
I tried that website, Jaganath, and it didn't work... |

I work in Paju which in near Ilsan but I commute to Seoul everyday on the commuter rail line. I don't know if I'm cool or not. I think not so all of that disqualifies me from
1) being cool
2) being in Ilsan
I think you'll live, shop and eat in something called La Festa which seems to have no beginning and no end and adding to its unfathomability, its a place where Koreans try to act Hispanic.
The other teachers that live there seem to be happy with Ilsan tho. |

I'm living right beside Juyeop station I believe. Tony you seem cool enough for me.
Does anyone know if there are any gyms around me? The only one I've managed to find is JG Fitness in a Jangchung Gymnasium but apparently that's like an hour subway ride away from me. |

Tons of teachers in Ilsan. Friday's and Saturday nights you can find a ton hanging out at a couple different bars in La Festa.
I personally find most of them to be obnoxious scum, but hey, thats just me.
Tons of gyms in Ilsan as well, if your apartment is actually close to Juyeop station there will be several within walking distance. The fee will range from between 110-350 for three 3 months. |

Well I'm 6'0", blond hair, haha just jokin... I'm a high school teacher from Vancouver who has decided to come to Korea for a bit. I'm taking a LOA from my district. I have been known to partake of the occasional beverage. i also enjoy sports and philosophizing the nature of conscious existence. |

Juyop is a good location and you'll probably like Ilsan. It's very clean, convenient with great public facilities. La Festa has most of everything you need in the way of shopping / eating / drinking / entertainments... Lake Park and Jeongblasan mountain are nice places to enjoy nature and relax / get outdoors...
When the weather is good, there's a free outdoor gym at the top of jeongblasan mountain (only a short 15 minutes to the top - a good warm up..)
Lots of other gyms too ranging from 30,000 a month to probably something like 100,000 for the La (or is it Calafornia) Gym at La Festa.
Only a 40 min bus ride to happening Hongdae / Shinchon or 10 minutes longer to Seoul Station.
Ha ha, I want to see these Koreans acting Hispanic that tonybaloney claims to have seen. Would be good for a laugh perhaps... |

I have read that wireless internet is everywhere in ilsan. If this is true do I even have to get an internet connection for my laptop or can I depend on the wireless. |
