Just about to start making plans for Christmas Day which may involve heading to Seoul, but wondered what is actually open and what runs (buses/subways etc) on Christmas?

Are taxis more expensive?

I'm only used to Christmas back home where everything is closed.

Thanks for any info from people who were here last year.

It's not a real holiday here. Everything outside of banks should be open.

Pretty much everything is open. It's more or less a day for the non-single protion of te population to take their significant others out on a date. The movie theaters and coffee shops will be mobbed with uni and high school couples.

My hagwon is closed for Christmas and it is the first day of our Winter vacation. I plan to just stay warm, relax, eat, drink, and be merry. It will be nice getting 8 days in a row off, though I would had rather had a break in the Fall when the weather was nice.
