I think it works too.
At my public high school, four 17 year old boys (who think way too highly of themselves) were punished by a Korean teacher.
They had to squat and run in that position down the hall... racing each other. If they sat, or fell or even stumbled, they had to go back to the end of the hall and do it again.
They looked so ridiculous! I could barely keep from dying laughing.
So then the Korean teacher took it even further by telling them that the "winner" (fastest student to finish and not fall) would get to relax while the others had to continue until someone else "won". I guess it was like a first place, second, third, fourth place thing...
This obviously pushed them to try even harder and go faster which was beyond funny even though painful to watch. I really wish I'd had my camera. |

Do it every morning at my place across the sports field for forgetting their uniforms.
Same students everyday. |

Yup
That was the first time I've ever seen anything like that.
I thought the Korean teacher was quite clever and original... guess not.
I can't wait to tell my students back in the states about this one! |
