I just got accepted for a position in Korea and need to leave now, as soon as I get my visa, but within a month. What about birth control in Korea? Are pills available over the counter? Do they have international brands? About how much do they cost? Are the reliable? Although my husband and I want kids, we don't want them now.

They're available over the counter, and much cheaper than North America, at 6,000W/pack, less than 1/4 of what the cost is in Canada. I don't know much about brand availability, but it seems that more European brands than North American ones were available. I never had a problem with reliability there.

Check my name for past posts, YASMIN was supposed to be available starting October 1st....but I haven't checked lately. My boyfriend called the company (and gave the woman a shock) and asked about it, they said it wouldn't be available over the counter, only through prescription.

Haven't made an apt to get it yet, so not sure if the date's been moved back or anything.

Diane 35 is available. It also helps with acne.

That med has some serious side effects. Other birth control pills also help with acne.

In Korean, the pill is "피임약". Pronounce it "Pee-im-yak". "Pee-im" literally means contraception, and the "yak" medicine.

For example? Any other specific recommendations for pills available OTC in Korea that also help with acne?
