Hi,

I am looking at taking some kind of business english teaching course. I already have a TEFL online but am looking at getting a qualification in business teaching to allow me to do more business lessons. Can anyone suggest a course like this(preferably online as i'm in korea) ?

Cheers

Thanks for the information. Yes. I do have a degree and it is in International Management. I am referring to the courses offered to teach business rather than learn about it. A qualification in teaching business that would be recognized. Many of the online courses offer business modules. Which one of these holds the most weight?

Certificates are most useful for proof of continued studies and have really zero weight in terms of qualification for a position in Korea. However continue your active search and stick to marquees. For example, anything with Wharton on it will have some weight. However it is not purely online. Certificates are useful for self learning satisfaction and grant knowledge.

Seriously just get a copy of a syllabus of a Business Communications
course from some college, acquire the books from amazon or some such
and read the books teach the course.

Lots of letter writing, and presentation skills; graphs, charts, spreadsheets
then explain them in paragraph form in writing, now talk about them.

Talking long paragraphs present them in bullet format that kind of stuff.
Bank presidents love bulleted printed material.

nlb65,

You already have a business degree which gives you an edge over all the teachers who don't. You don't really need a qualification for teaching Business English. I did a BETT course and it was useless. (Thanks TEFL International!)

Save your money.
