So, I have a laptop AND an external self-powered hard drive. If I wanted to plug both of these in at the same time, can it be done? Do apartments usually have multiple outlets for computers? Keep in mind, both use non-korean plugs so both need adaptors and cannot be both put into a splitter.

Most laptops have a power converter, so if you have one outlet adapter, you should be ok. Now the HD probably doesn't have a power converter, so you've better have one if it's not ready to handle the 220 voltage coming from the Korean outlet. If you do have a converter and an adapter for both unit, what's stopping you from plugging both of them in?

My Laptop reads as: Input 100-240v (1.5a) 50-60hz; Output 19.5v 3.34a on the transformer thingy - And the Hard Drive has a standard 200-240VAC adaptor plugged into the mains. I know the laptop will work, but will the Hard Drive be able to switch from 240v to 220v?

220 / 240 = same range.... you are fine. Get some plug adapters and a power bar or bring a power bar with you (save you buying a bunch of plug adapters) and then get ONE plug adapter for your power strip.

Most villa / officetels only have a few plug outlets so you will need to get a power bar or 3.

Don't worry about overloading the circuits, they are usually adequate and computer equipment is usually low amperage so unlikely to ever trip the breaker.

Just use google to search dave's and u can get a lot of answers. But all right, just this time.

You can buy a powerbar at any Emart. The plugs come in pairs on the walls. There aren't many in one apartment. You can buy small plastic converters in Technomart in Seoul and plug your laptop and ext. drive directly into them. The adaptors on the cords of your computer and drive will convert the incoming juice into the appropriate voltage and current.
