Hey,
I'm trying to get away for the weekend. I haven't left this Seoul suburb, except to go to Seoul, for almost four months. Eek! I want to see something other than the concrete and neon jungle.
Okay, enough ranting. Does anybody have a recommendation for a place to go that is relaxing, inexpensive, and not in a big city?
Thanks for the help! |

Seoraksan could be fun.
The town (Seokcho) is kinda dead though, so make plans in advance what you'll do besides check out the mountain. They have some hot springs in the area, but the only one I've been to was kind of a big water park. It was so-so but my girlfriend had 50% off tickets somehow so it wasn't too bad.
People will stare at any body hair you may have with amazement, wonder, and disgust, all at the same time though.
I've also enjoyed Yeosu, Busan (better in the summer though), mokpo (you could visit Jindo island too). Yeosu and Mokpo are a little sleepy, but maybe that's what you're looking for.
Oh yeah, there's a decent Jjimjilbang in Seokcho not too far from the E-mart near the bus station.
Could always just go to the bus terminal and choose some random city and go. I've always wanted to do that but I'm just not quite spontaneous enough. |
