| I'm willing to buy the US retail version, but I have a wii with god-knows-what kind of modchip those Yongsaners installed. Anyone had any luck? |

If your system is Japanese, the only way to play is to buy the Japanese version.
There is currently no way to play the US version on a Japanese system.
If you have a US Wii, the original will work on a modded system without any trouble. |

If you take your wii to Yongsan they will replace your old generic mod chip (yep, I had that one too) with a fully updated wiikey for 20,000.
I have an American wii and the US version of Mario Galaxy I downloaded online worked perfectly after I made this transition. |

| Be forewarned, that damn game is ADDICTIVE. I played for 9 hours straight on sunday...for my mental health I put it away and haven't touched it since but i'm still having Mario Galaxy acid flashbacks every time I close my eyes or blink. I swear my synapses are releasing colorful stars and coins even as I type this. |

Can you explain why you needed to mod your American made console to play an American made game?
I have a US Wii, but i thought i would be able to d'load and play Amercan made games while in Korea. No? |
