I would love to visit Mongolia this year but would only have a full week to do so. Is this enough time to visit and actually enjoy this country or should I wait until I am finished a contract to spend more time there during a larger trip including China? |

i think you could do it.
just go to the capital ulan bataar for 1-2 days to see the sights and what not, but it's really dirty and not much to see. it's mainly worth it to go to the guesthouses and see what trips people are taking and if people need partners to go with.
so i'd say go to UB for a couple days, then try for a camel tour through the gobi desert! if you can't do that or have more time, do another tour to see the nomadic villages. you can do them on jeep and horse as far as i know, and i hear the people are really generous and allow you to stay with them, while they feed you (i didnt have time to do this, but every traveler i met there said so). |

i went in the fall and it was still freezing! we had an awesome ger camp, and the guys would even come in the middle of the night to restart our fires
mongolia is amazing! if there were many teaching jobs there, i'd go there next! a week is a must, more would be better though. make sure u do lots of horseback riding, it's a great way to see the country |
