A question about severence pay, or what is banded about as being a bonus payment.
If you complete 75%+ of your contract and push the principal to the point where she fires you, are you due severence pay prorata your completed time at the school? |

| I have to agree, no. If you work one day less then your contract, you take the risk of not receiving your severence. |

Article 34 of the labor standards act provides the severance but you are only LEGALLY entitled to one months pay for each FULL year of work completed.
There is NO provision for less than 1 year NOR is there a provision for payment of prorated portions for partial years.
Article 34 (Severance Pay System)
(1) An employer shall establish a severance pay system whereby an average wage of more than 30 days shall be paid for each year of consecutive years employed as a severance pay to a retired worker; however, if the worker was employed for less than one year, this shall not apply. |
