Just rush out and do it.
If it's like our uni, they may have contracted with one of those medical clinics that has a special set-up and does physicals all day long (I think KDI is one). It's a great deal, really. My check was over $500, so yours won't be as extensive (they did about everything at mine).
Be glad you're getting a free medical check. Lots and lots of pretty nurses work at those places, and you're kind of a novelty, so they're extra nice. There was even a young 20-something female doctor there who was very pretty. It was kind of a laugh, because a few nurses came in "watched" as she spoke English to me slowly, asking me if I had an respiratory problems. They all had this funny grin on their faces.
Yeah, it's very short notice, but that's Korea. Ouch. I'm sure those who are out-of-town, or had flight tickets, would be able to make other arrangements for their physicals.
I wouldn't be surprised if the order went down from the gov't for unis to do this bally-bally, knowing that some people need time to get drugs out of their system. More than likely, however, they just pulled this one out of their rear the same day they told you. |
