I just bought a new bike. Has anyone used these Tonyon chains that appear the same as Kryptonite NYC chains? I used to lock up my Vespa with these two 5 foot NYC chains and locks when I was in the U.S.

Laughing

Ubless you've had a bike stolen before and are concerned about that, especially since bike theft is rampant in Korea.

Yea, I had a Tomos moped stolen a long time ago. Ever since then I've used those Kryptonite locks. I may just order them from Amazon. They're under fifty US dollars.

Double-lock it, and use a U-bolt.

I had a standard cable lock on my bike until I went out one morning a year ago and found the plastic casing around the cable had been cut and gouged in an attempt to steal the bike. I figure the would-be thief got spooked by the security light and couldn't finish the job.

The next day I bought a U-bolt and I haven't had any trouble since.

I have this old, rusty chain from a 62' Schwinn that I use to keep everyone in line.

Ever been whipped by a bicycle chain? Me neither, but it looks like it hurts.

i brought a titanium cable with a kryptonite lock on it with me from the u.s. - i bought it in jersey at paragon sports - you can order one over the internet

it's not very long, is a short cable has a vinyl coating

no one can break it don't worry - i've had several bikes here for several years no problem (gave prior bikes away, am on my 3rd)

i've heard foreigners get targeted for bike theft if you park the same place frequently so yes, you do need to be careful. i try to keep mine indoors at night
