The Dono Studio is at the Gangnam station, exit 8. Man. They truly have an amazing array of what can only be legitimately described as "artisan" or "craft" donuts. A competitor looks like it's opening up in the outskirts of Myeong Dong, across from the Lotte dept store.

And I've posted about this elsewhere. The logo makes it almost look like it's a Korean copy of Krispy Kreme but it's actually some American competitor. Kolache is not a made up Korean word.

That new artisan donut place is now open in Myeong Dong. Here are some artisan donuts from the Dono Studio in Gangnam:

Oh thank you! The baby poop yellow one in the top right corner is the pumpkin. The one covered in white powder is the sesame seed one that I rubbed into my pants.

Hey Itaewonguy, take heart, I hear they ARE offering green tea donuts, and sweet potato too.

Seriously, though, isn't "artisan donut" an oxymoron?

I think Doughnut Plant's the best (especially for vegetarians ...)

Unfortunately, I'll probably get fatter than I already am if I start going there, though ...

Here's a nice review of one of their shops (in Boston) after they started branching out from New York a few years ago: http://www.tastingmenu.com/archive/2004/11-november/20041103.htm

It's a freaking donut.
Microwave it and get creative, save yourself some cash in the process.

Dunkin Donuts introduced a new donut called the Chocolate Boston. It's great.

And love is just chemicals. I suppose you'd be happiest when you finally reduce life down to a vat full of chemicals supplying your needs. Oh well.
