Yep, my new system is getting the works this weekend folks.

1. Gears of War
2. Call of Duty 4
3. Crysis
4. Unreal Tournament 3
5. Bioshock

My oh my...so many great games all at once.

The mantra is: "The semester is almost over. Control man! Control!"

It has been a fantastic couple of months for new games. COD4 is just amazing. I'm gonna try Gears of War next.

Crysis looks beautiful but the gameplay/storyline isn't so good.

Gears of War...great game, ruined by the fact that you need a Windows live account to play online. Yep...$50 for that. Block it with your firewall and then that's it, right? Nope.

It won't save any progress without a Live account. So, you have to ALT+TAB out of the game when you want to quit and manually copy out a file..

and re-copy it back in when you want to play. If you don't, exiting the game will delete the file and you are in Groundhog day.

Loads of people having loads of problems as well; crashing, BSODs... . I am having none of them...1280x1024, all on high save decals and shadows. Stutters a touch, but apparently that is par for the course. It is happening on all rigs, even the Godboxes. Meh. Fun game but seems kinda flat after all the hassles. Not a HDD read issue either...interesting.

UT3? Rocks...same game, new look. Still a blast...that game will never die.

I guess the graphic setting between GoW and UT3 are similar as they are both Unreal 3 engine-based games. Tweaks are good for both.

Crysis? Looks nice, plays cool but yeah, no real great story. Kind of a tech demo, in a way. Fun though.

Bioshock? Haven't yet gotten into it. Soon.

CoD4 is the show stealer though. Gameplay, graphics, story...game of the year? A runner-up if not.

COD4 gets my vote, too. If only I could get a proper PC copy to play online. Has anyone actually seen it on the shelves?

Search for a program called All Seeing Eye - I think

Is COD4 difficult? I ask because, although I really enjoy playing games, I am generally not very good at them.

It does look incredible though it has to be said. I would probably get the PS3 version.

Well, UT3 is truly a blast. Looks great and has retained it's old flavor, despite the obvious changes.

A couple of months and the mod community will be all over this one: custom maps and mods will make this another great part of the series.

I really wish people would play on the non-deathmatch Korean servers for COD4. Deathmatch is pretty boring IMO. And the lowest ping i can get outside a korean server is about 150.

Wow...Crysis is sweet!

1280x1024 all on medium except "world textures" on high. Runs great.

As I said before, the story is lacking, but great gameplay and it looks awesome. Wish I had a monster to run this at full blast, but hey...I am happy.
