just curious - anyone know how koreans provide verification of their degrees when they (allegedly) graduate from an overseas uni?

yes, they say, in broken english that they went to X university abroad to a hagonw owner who has never been abroad and doesn't know the difference.
If it's for a hagwon job, there is no check unless the owner really really wants to know, which they usually do not.
There is a major hagwon in Yeonsu-***g, Incheon that frequently hires Koreans E teachers and makes them pretend that they do not speak Korean because they were brought up in another country. The schools name starts with To and ends in Pia. They even have a boss, Kim, who teaches writing to students. He sells himself on the fact that he is not Korean and that he is actually American/ russian. But, he speaks perfect korean and he has to get his FTs to grade his writing students' papers. |

Just shows you how easy it is to set up a Hagwon.
It's easier than running a 7-11. |

Well of all the Korean's who have graduated from abroad I've met...They have all seemed to have graduated from penal institutions.
From the Tats they should be able to sort you out.
Just show them that little tear under you left eye. Wink! |
