I think I remember reading something about this a while back, but I couldn't find the info, so sorry in advance for a thrice asked question.
I want to work SMOE this spring, which I believe starts around March 2nd, and I'm graduating next week (huzzah.) but my school won't have my actual degree ready until February 5th or so. They DID say that my transcripts will show "graduate" on them as early as January, though. The way I understand it, the verified degree is an Immigration requirement, not the school, but as Visa is required before the job, I guess that's moot. I've tried to email my recruiter (I believe they're required to do ETIS) but I've gotten rather short replies.
Will this be problematic? Is there a way to deal with SMOE directly instead of a recruiter who is (understandably) more concerned about more immediate applicants? Thanks to all.

You can't get an expedited one from your school?
At mine I was able to pay a $45 fee or something like that. They had it sent to the printer early and it was held in the degree office until my final grades were posted. From there I was able to go in and pick it up. That's what I had to do to make sure I had it in time for my job last year.
You might wanna check to see if your school offers something similar. I don't think they'll process your app without the degree, especially with new regs that might be comin down. |

You should contact SMOE directly about this situation.
