As the topic suggests, Ill be taking a gig with EPIK in Busan starting in Feb/March. This will be my first job in Korea and, accordingly, Ive been researching heavily.
Id like to hear from those currently working in Busan with EPIK. In particular, Im interested in:
1. vacation time (what are you getting, and how are you getting it?);
2. CTs & Admin in general; and
3. any other general information that might be useful.
Before the flaming and negativity takes off, Im aware that all schools are different. Unfortunately, I wont have details about my POE until orientation.
The purpose of this post is to gauge how those working in Busan feel about the program. My research indicates that it is a much more positive experience there than some other provinces (read: less whinging). This conclusion, however, is based upon very little anecdotal evidence, hence the post.
If youre uncomfortable posting, please PM me.
N.B. Ive checked out the Busan forums and note that the last post in relation to EPIK was in August, and not entirely helpful. |

There are several former and current Buan Epik teachers on this board and the forums on koreabridge.com. Basically though, your experience completely varies based on your VP, co teacher, etc. Good luck! |
