I'm going to be really REALLY curious to see what happens after these regulations are officially implemented.
Is there a way view the Korea Herald online? Sorry for my ignorance... I've just never been able to access it before. |

| I don't understand how that will work. Most teachers are already teaching full schedules, so how can they be expected to fill in elsewhere? |

Just like privates.
Tere is no moeny to be made doing privates.
Privates are illegal.

i've got it in my EPIK contract that my workplace is XXY High School. whew. |

Yep. I teach at four schools already. Can't see that being increased because the city I live in has a population of 25000. All the six native teachers here are taking all the schools and have re-signed. SO technically I can't be expected to be asked to teach at more locations, because there isn't any more.
It's interesting to see all the hysteria on these boards. I does seem to be a little like chinese whispers, something is reported and it gets taken out of context and starts to worry other people. We'll have to wait and see what happens. I'm pleased because the dust will have settled by the time I re-sign in June, and I've already submitted criminal check and medical check when I applied here. |

If it is o/t, we can refuse. I did today. My school wanted me to afterschool classes 4 times a week for an extra 400,000 per month. 20 kids, no co-teacher, classes beginning during Xmas vacation. I said no and that was that. |

don't sign one with that stipulation.
edit: i did specifically request that my workplace was only the h.s. and it was put into the contract as such. (i didn't make that clear - my bad) |

You guys who say it couldn't happen to you are not reading the 2nd paragraph.
Immigration is saying they are going to relax the multiple workplace stipulation to allow your school to do this to you. |
