I am looking for housing. I do not want to live in Itaewon, but it seems that the majority of real estate agents expect me to settle for Itaewon as they all seem to have housing but they don't want to deal with foreigners. Are there any resources available for foreigners looking for housing outside of Itaewon/Haeboncheong, or Noksapyeong? I am not looking for an officetel either.

My budget is 5 mil key money and 400,000 monthly allowance.

Check out www.englishspectrum.com .

Also, try the new foreigner help center (global village):

A few friends of mine used these guys for various other things and they proved to be helpful.

Craig's List, too. Just google 'Seoul apartment'.

How did the world spin before the internet?

Good luck.

I put down a deposit for a flat just near Sangsu Station between Hongdae ad Hapjeong. It's 450 a month, and right near the Han River. Not a bad spot, not a bad flat. Just walked from real estate agent to real estate agent until I found what I was looking for. When I found it I knew it was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the advice.
